Every QB up for a contract should demand the fully guaranteed one like Deshaun got.

If it's more than Kyler take the deal. Sign the contract before the season starts.

For all the "Lamar needs an agent" talk he's played this well by waiting for other QB's to get their deals first. What he can't do is try to get a Deshaun deal. He was getting traded so there was a bidding war and a desperate team made an insane offer. If Lamar was on the market he could get that kind of deal but he's not. There's nothing wrong with being the second highest paid QB.

Exactly.

He'll just get franchised 2 years and if still good will hit free agency and then get a better deal

Russ, Burrow, and Herbert are getting new deals next offseason, so the QB price is only going to go up after the season if he decides to hold off on signing & bet that he'll play well :yeshrug:

Nah, get your money now. There's always QB's in line to reset the market.

Mahomes got 140 guaranteed. Arod got 150. Kyler got 160. He should take around 170 or so and be done with it. There's no point chasing that imaginary money next year.

Especially with the style of football he plays.

I do agree he should sign it before the season starts but because of his style of play after the first game it’s only going to give the ravens more leverage. Waiting til Herbert or Borrow gets paid will be stupid.

reading twitter. people seem torn on chop blocks.

It's tough, because the hit is legal in theory, but THAT specific instance comes off really shytty in practice.

What makes it bad is that Thibodeaux was slowing up to the point where he'd damn near planted his feet. Going as low as Moss did on a planted leg is fukking up a knee at best, snapping a leg at worst.

Not necessarily a dirty hit, but definitely highlighting why Moss is probably in a tough fight for a roster spot. If you're not a top end receiving threat, you gotta have good effective CLEAN blocking. This ain't that.
