Joe was hurt during Wrestlemania season during all his years on the main roster except for one year. Also, he wanted to wrestle and WWE didn't want to clear him medically so he asked to be let go. It was best for everybody he got "fired"

There are rumors of WWE NXT Superstar releases being made today.

As noted on Thursday, WWE made several main roster releases and the reason given for the departures was budget cuts. Now it looks like more cuts could be coming for the NXT brand.

It was just reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the rumor going on Thursday said more cuts could be coming today, April 16, with a focus on NXT.

WWE released a total of 10 main roster talents on Thursday, exactly one year since their COVID-19 budget cuts on April 15, 2020. The Superstars released on Thursday were Samoa Joe, Mojo Rawley, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Wesley Blake, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Kalisto and Bo Dallas. All wrestlers are under a standard 90-day non-compete clause with WWE and are not free to sign with other promotions until Wednesday, July 14.

ok so a couple of my thoughts on this

Joe almost guaranteed to have asked for his release cause dude was too much of an asset to just randomly deavor like that, there's at least 10 dudes who you'd think would be on the chopping block before him

Billie will be missed she was legit entertaining and versatile with the comedy but i can see both her and Peyton eating good in Impact in a stable with Tenille

the higherups and Cokeboy himself really must dislike Mickie cause since she came back she ain't do shyt but job and be a sidekick to a lesser talent in Alexa

nobody from NXT will ever be on the chopping block unless they fukk up bad cause their salaries ain't high enough to matter not even on some pocket watching shyt but it's true

if Joe feels like he has another run left in him then he's the only name out of this that AEW should pursue, if they bring in him and Andrade with Zelina all three would be great assets to the company IMO

edit - just seen the update, nvm on my thoughts bout the NXT talents
