I wonder if they wanted to keep Joe as a commentator and he still wanted to wrestle.

He's had two concussions and over a year missed afterwards. He most def had the WWE "extra cautious" treatment going on. It is better for his health though, so what can you do from both sides.

They had Joe all over Takeover and WM stuff. Weird cut. Also weird is Billie Kay not because of how good or bad she is, but it seemed like they've also spent a lot of screen time on her over WM season so to cut her immediately after is odd.

Both shows did their best viewership going unopposed. Proof they not only share the same audience, but will benefit from being on different nights.

Both shows did their best viewership going unopposed. Proof they not only share the same audience, but will benefit from being on different nights.

Like I said in the ratings thread, Let's see where both shows ratings are going forward. NXT needs to average 800k for a few weeks and then grow, and AEW needs to average 1mil for a few weeks and grow. If one or both shows drop back close to the numbers they were getting then it was only a temporary spike.
