I'm on the phone with Washington to see what they want for Josh Bell. He's in his walk year I believe.. it shouldn't cost a ton. And I'm on the fence about bringing in a catcher like Contreras.. even if its his walk year because it's gonna cost some prospects. He'd be the perfect stopgap for Alvarez.

We have to largest cluster of shyt talent at catcher in the majors. And I'm not sure its close.

I think you have to live with the the catcher situation since Alvarez is on the horizon. Contreras will cost too much and it's for 2 months.

I want 2 bullpen arms, a DH and possibly a starter whose expected stats look better than the numbers. As much as the Mets want to take it slow with Alvarez, I think he's gonna further prove he's ready in AAA. MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the #2 prospect in baseball and the #1 is already in the majors so yea lol.
