They are complimentary players and not worried about Marte's skill set declining too much. As someone mentioned, he's basically Curtis Granderson part deux.
We have enough youth, they need another big bat and to shore up the starting pitching. The bullpen is so fickle who knows what's there but I could see them trading Diaz.
