Muscle cars are kinda different, it works for them, not sure how it would be for tuner cars. But I did forget that American car makers have been using old designs as a crutch for the past decade + when I made that post.

Thinking about it more, a modern Supra based on last gen would be type wavy, just keep that interior in the past, that shyt ugly af.

The white launch edition looks great. I'd cop.

I'm not mad at Toyota at all for leveraging a great powertrain, and platform from BMW in order to keep costs lower. With this, they can retain their excellent driving dynamics, but with a modern powertrain.

The Lexus "sporty" products with their excess weight, and ancient motors weren't going to cut it any longer.

The new Lexus are heavy but:

my girls stock 2008 Lexus IS350 hits 0-60 at almost the same time (faster than the old supra) and its 4 doors, weighs 3500LBS. I'm pretty sure brand new they were around 50-60K. Its a tuner car as well too. Put a SC on it and its hittin 500WHP easy:scust: Toyota, I don't get it. I won't even get into the RCF, GSF, LC500 or ISF (which I own)

With that being said I don't know why Toyota/Lexus didn't just keep the same engineering with their engines and transmissions of the previous GEN (which were far from ancient by the way, they are actually top of the line engineering and any master tech will tell you that) instead of making the sedans slower in the current gen.

see this topic Supercharged Lexus ISF 652WHP (800HP)

Pretty cool car.
This youtuber (who I have no idea where he got his money from considering he bought a new McLaren Senna) does an overview. You have to get past his British faggy demeanor, but the video is good.

Placed my order months ago, already own a mk4, I get why people hate the car it's probably priced a little too much if it is heavily based on the z4 and toyota took far too long to release it, only thing that is a let down for me is the transmission option but I will be using it has a daily driver once summer kicks around. Let's see if it is even moddable like the mk4

Japanese manufacturers are taking too long to release these sport cars though. It feels like I've been waiting 4-5 years for this car since seeing the FT-1.
