If you simple minded just say that.

If galaxy brain gets you the Wentz situation, I'll take simple

You talking about long term when their starter came off an MVP season and a home CCG after another CCG :mjlol: simple minded is moving up for his backup

Yall followed that format with Aaron rodgers and it was successful. Y’all nikkas is weird :dahell:

We didnt trade up to get Rodgers. He fell to us in the first round and he was projected to go first overall but niners took Smith.

Love was not even considered being a top pick at all. He was just a prospect with a lot of potential aka a project QB.

You don’t know where Love would’ve fell. And let’s stop pretending everyone thought Rodgers was gonna go on this MVP run. There’s nothing wrong with taking a QB, so when rodgers do decide to leave, or it’s time to move on, that y’all not stuck in limbo.

The Packers in 2019 looked abysmal on offense. No one out side of Adams could catch a cold. The 2020 draft was loaded with WR talent and 99% of the football world expected Packers to take one or a ILB/DT which they were weak at.

Instead, they trade up and snag a project QB...not a top 3 QB in the draft but a project QB. A QB who had a horrible senior year

To make matter worse, they drafted more garbage and less help at positions of needs. They even drafted a damn punter in the
4th (if my memory serves me correct) the year prior

Trust me, the Love pick is right on par with the rest of the draft they had that year....trash

Yes we will need a successor to Rodgers, but thats still a few years out. If we are in win now mode with him, u dont trade up, lost draft picks and snag a project QB.

You don’t pick a player when you’re in desperate need for them. That’s a losing formula, especially a QB. Look at the Broncos and 49ers who’ve been a QB away for the longest.
Packers not have that option to not sign Rodgers after his contract (if he falls off or retires) and have someone ready to take his spot.

I could normally agree with this on paper, but once Rodgers is gone they are on the fast track to an actual top prospect anyway imo, and other than Rodgers, who else is on a timeline that they can't afford to waste?. By the time both sides are ready for Love to start they’re already gonna have to be ready for his next contract. The best part of drafting modern QBs is that the top ones are more prepared to contribute early, and you can build the rest of the team out while they’re cheap. If you spend the first and then some on a guy you almost can’t afford to waste time anymore. He either has to be really good early or extremely good later. We won’t know the former or the latter any time soon :pachaha:
