During, 2016 the ruling class believed they could ignore the plight faced by working americans. They completely dismissed Bernie and got Trump as a result.
Now for 2020, it seems for 2020 they are going the way of having someone who can legitimately speak to desires of working class american but who they believe can be reeled in.
