This isn't that shocking to me. There were a lot of political and voter mercenaries last primary. Let's not forget that back in the 2016 primaries, both Warren and Biden polled ahead of Bernie in early parts of 2015, before it became clear that they wouldn't run. A lot of the Bernie vote in that primary, was folks who can't stand Clinton and just went with him as the anti vote. Now that their main choices are available, they are now going with who they wanted to back all along. The result is that Bernie has a high floor in 2020 having kept half of his support, but will lose guys like this dude to Biden who only supported previously to attack the Clinton's.

"Republican policies favoring the ultra-affluent, however, stand in stark contrast with biblical scripture. The Bible’s condemnations of the wealthy and the accumulation of riches leave zero room for ambiguity."

Resorting to ad hominem. Very classy.

There's an ignore feature, use it. :yeshrug:

The genesis of this exchange is based on your insufficient reading comprehension skills. Me calling you out on that is hardly ad hominem and you taking critiques of your beloved candidate as a personal attack is certainly foolish. Even if I called you an idiot that wouldn't undermine the larger point and it's likely true.

There's no need to place you on ignore. When you get tired of being dunked on, you'll go back to being the non-entity you were before you started crying about your woo-woo loving candidate.

I agree with your assessment. IMO it makes the most sense policy wise, but the politics is tough, because the payoff will be for the next generation.
I agree but politicians, in general, have never been good with investing in longterm solutions, especially when these things wouldn't pay off until they are likely out of office. Then you have to remember we're also dealing with the austerity-driven death cult that is the Republican Party.

Given the state of our political system the two things I look for in policymaking are 1) Can be achieved in four years by Democrats and 2) Cannot be undone in four years by Republicans.

In a better world, Warren or Sanders would be elected president and the Democrats would have a trifecta, so the first thing they could do is enact democratic reforms (basically the For the People Act of 2019 but with DC statehood included). Then we could focus on the climate crisis, financial reforms, healthcare, immigration reform, investments in future generations (e.g. baby bonds), etc. without worrying about insane Republicans hijacking Congress. Of course, we'd still have to deal with the Republican activists in the courts...

This is why Bernie is the better option. He's not just a politician. He's leading a movement. The entire debate stage is forced to say things he was saying in 2016. Whole party pulled left. Whole nation next.

He's already proven he can go on Fox and get their audience to say "Hey wait a minute, this guy's right and Hannity is wrong." :patrice:

Warren wasn't even willing to try. Probably because she can't handle a hostile interview. :sas2:

Yeah, I encounter this all the time. Just about any mention of Warren on social media will lead to these types rushing in and flooding the zone with these bizarre, patently false memes. I mean, look at the responses to that tweet itself. The internet and social media have irreparably fukked up a lot of people's brains. It's providing them with an addictive recursive feedback loop of fringe conspiracies and other nonsense. Honestly strikes me as the same fundamental disease that a lot of Trump supporters are facing, just happens to be channeled in another direction.

I'm not sure why people even bother pretending Republicans really care about this. If nothing else Bush and his wars disproved that.

Christianity in 2019 is mostly just cover for them to justify voting for white supremacists :yeshrug:

I actually think Biden is pretty much dead wrong.

Any Dem whether Biden or not is going to have a hard time beating Trump. Dems need to stop being so arrogant and assume they're the underdogs. It's like people didn't learn from 2016...

Uh, the only candidate really running on democratic reforms is No nikkas Pete, so within the narrow context of my previous post, he'd be the "best." Of course, he's just running on the party's platform with regard to that so he deserves no credit.

Sanders needs to come up with a more plausible rationale for why he voted to strip funding from CDC gun research in 1996.

You need to stop using minorities who support Sanders as a shield for your obnoxious and offputting posting style (I saw that shyt). That's peak white brocialist behavior. You've always come off as a class reductionist so that type of behavior isn't a surprise. For the sake of consistency, I shouldn't see you whining about identity politics again since you're cynically using them yourself.
