Slavery still existed in Texas.

But are you suggesting black Texans don't deserve reparations from the US because Mexico abolished it prior? :picard:

you ados nikkas don't know history

I never said it didn't. But this is about the U.S. so the other countries are inconsequential. So what Mexico did under Spanish rule or Spain itself is an entirely different conversation. Separate from the ADOS conversation.

In terms of trying to muddy the waters in an attempt to prove a non-point, I'll give you an E for effort.

It's like yall don't know that slaves were still snuck into the US after it was illegal. And that slaves were still staged in the carribean et AL either before being shipped over or sent back after slaves were caught.

I'm saying that Texas and floridians slavery was, according to your argument, the result of other countries.

As such, I don't think you can claim ADOS as a Texan.

Actually no dumbass.

Most of Texas Slaves were transported to Texas after 1845.

Even from my family history. Most of them were slaves in Mississippi, Georgia, and the Carolina's before being brought to Texas.

Know your history before making such of an asinine statement.

So you should be asking France, Spain, and the UK for your reparations?

Amirite?

Family history dummy.

And Mississippi became a state in 1817 retard. :mjlol:

I have no family history in Mississippi before 1835. So, why would I be going after France.

My ancestors first came through Virginia and the Carolinas.

Not saying it wasn't Africans there before they became US territory.

But just by looking at my family history. They were sent to those areas after, those areas became States.

And that actually coincides with the history that shows those areas Black population grew tenfold once that territory became a State.

Texas had slaves in the 1500s...

After Texas was free from Mexico they made slavery legal and made it illegal to free slaves.

That was a decade before Texas was a part of the US.

All of this is to say that a lineage argument for reparations is foolhardy at best

I'd hate for you to miss out what you were owed because your lineage went back to the republic of Texas or even worse a Mexican colony. :sas2:

I've traced my lineage back further. Do I deserve more reparations?
