I think people need to look at what bussing was at the time and how black schools were a community effort for quality education dispite low funding. Obviously integration/desegregation was neccessary to save the country from some kind of war maybe but any of these white people younger than 50 commentating on bussing isn't really getting to the Crux of the issue.

Kamala went at Biden to frame him as a states rights conservative guy which is a no go in the Dem party which is evident by the polls. But if you ask alot of the older black folks who are for him they'll tell you bussing wasn't really all that at the time

Probably the same reason people are choosing him now, which is to be nonthreatening to white voters and appeal to "moderates".

Considering who Obama was (black, liberal, product of an interracial marriage, associated with Chicago, etc.) most likely he thought it would be good to have a VP who would be seen as a safe/moderate/mainstream.

But we all just watched a video of Biden being called a socialist, race traitor, and cac killer.
