Obama voters who defected to Trump did so because his opponent was Hillary, not because they were rejecting Obama. Moreover, you're overstating Obama-Trumpers commitment to Trump. Yes, the MAGAs hate Obama but they aren't the same people as the ones who voted for Obama in 2012, Trump in 2016, and helped give Democrats wins in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin in 2018. Obama's very popular among Democrats and is generally popular nationwide, associating with him isn't going to hurt anyone.
