There were multiple people who ran against Hillary or floated to run against Hillary. This includes Joe Biden who was polling around the same as Bernie. They didn't stand a chance at winning and pulled out.

The fact is it was her turn. The people largely agreed and the elections went that way. :umad:

It's funny and the narrative always changes depending on what we're talking about.

For example:
  • If we're talking about the senate, house, or governors it's the DNC is a too hands off organization that doesn't encourage talented people to run
  • But when we talk about 2016 it's, oh the DNC is too hands on and discouraged anyone from running against Hillary
:mjlol:

I mean does everyone forget the popular mayoral/governor candidate who seemed possible to take the wind out of the room?

Yeah in 2016 his name was MARTIN O'MALLEY! :dead:

People keep forgetting this. Hillary was THE most popular politician in the country until 2016. :mindblown:

  • Supreme Court and other federal judges are going to be conservative for what the next 40 - 60 years.
  • We are going to waste money on a wall, we are currently committing atrocities against illegal immigrants while our country grows more xenophobic.
  • We are going to start a war in Iran possibly Venezuela for no good reason. Killing our troops and their citizens.
  • Tax policy had made income inequality worse. Look at the country besides like 20 - 25 cities it is basically a shyt hole full of uneducated people who think wearing pajamas and Crocs is dressing up to go outside, are likely drug addicted and likely so hopeless they don't even bother to vote.
  • No chance for policies people actually like, the biggest being M4A. While dismantling the ACA that still doesn't cover everyone and is pretty expensive.
  • Selling weapons to countries that sponsor terrorism and arming groups that actually attacked us in the past.
  • No clean water in Flint Michigan and 3rd world, life-threatening parasites like hookworm increasing in rural America
But no biggie I guess. lol
Not to mention the overall Trumpism that has infected all government, politics, everyday life. What was unheard of is now normal with more and more Republicans getting bold with their psychotic views and policies.

Trust in American institutions has eroded to lows in the modern era, and continues further. Did you see the Congressmen defending the war criminals that killed teenagers and opened fire on crowds of civilians that Trump is going to pardon, calling them unfairly treated war heroes? Admitting he also took photos posing with dead bodies in his military days saying everyone does it...:scust:

The country is sick and I think we're far enough down this path that it just cant end well at this point.

Yeah, it is really sad. Trump was a wake up call for me. Despite me personally having a good life in this country other people are really suffering. I was hoping this election would spark a similar feeling in other people and for the general public to demand drastic change from our government, but it seems that if the problems aren't effecting you personally the status quo is fine for most.
