from what I'm reading, certain big Clinton donors have been in her camp...she's raising a lot of money but she may be too "left" but she hasn't gained traction yet..

Mayor Pete has that midwest moderate vibe that these older wealthier, whiter Dems love :cacmjpls:

Beto is going to become an afterthought...
Early Fund-Raising Divides the Democratic Field Into Haves and Have-Nots

Mr. Buttigieg raised $2.5 million from larger donors in the first quarter. Several connected fund-raisers, including Orin Kramer, a longtime fund-raising bundler and hedge fund founder, have recently signed on to help Mr. Buttigieg.

I do wonder if we are too hard on some of these candidates for fundraising in this fashion. When there are double digit candidates, it's unrealistic to think that everyone can bankroll their campaigns through the grassroots like Bernie. That's why I have a lot of respect for Warren. She's leaving a lot of money on the table by not at least taking money from PACs/wealthy donors that align with her beliefs. At the same time she shares a lane with Bernie so has to split the progressive grassroots money.

I'm on #TeamPete. Probably won't win the Democratic bid, and likely wouldn't win the election because LOL at the thought of America getting over its hate of gay people even though many of the haters watch gay porn, but man I really like that guy.

:jbhmm: Bernie stans come explain this. Are yall team blue or Bernie or bust?

No. 3: 26% of current Bernie Sanders supporters said that they would rather vote for President Donald Trump over Senator Elizabeth Warren, if that were the eventual 2020 matchup.

No. 1: Only 51% of current Bernie supporters actually voted in the 2016 General Election for the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton – 7% voted for Trump, 23% voted for a third-party candidate, and 19% did not vote.

So a few things on my mind tonight, it feels like it's a smoke alarm in my mind but it's early in the process. I was on Reddit earlier ( yes yes i know ) reading some R/politics stuff and i seen where someone cautioned that Buttigieg doesn't really seem to be connecting with Black and Hispanic voters right now. People just ignored what that person said for the most part on some " So? what about them? :mjpls:" shyt. That's irked me for a while after reading.

Another thing is apparently O'Rourke was the only one to visit Ohio in the month of March and also the first to visit Virginia too. Like come on now i know it's primary time but fukk that, every candidate better be campaigning their asses off. Basically what i'm getting at is it feels like Dems don't really have this under control like i thought. Like we haven't fully learned from our own mistakes yet, just wanted to run that by ya'll.
