white male socialism is what Bernie pushes. It’s trickle down Liberalism for black ppl.

Bernies whole shtick on an policy is:

My policies will help poor and lower middle class white ppl.

And due to coloreds being poor in America they will benefit too.

Don’t get me started on white colleges starting to take hbcu money by being minority or Hispanic serving institutions.

Hbcus And black politicians made Biden explicitly put it in his policies that hbcu money was no longer going to solely Hbcus. No fugazi acronyms

Due to um republicans and white progressives agreeing about spreading the funds :mjpls:

Biden:
  • Support colleges and universities that play unique and vital roles in their communities, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions.
Bernie:

Make all public and private HBCUs, tribal colleges, and many MSIs tuition-free

wtf are MSi’s? Hm :patrice:

minority serving institutions, Hispanic serving institutions? Wtf..

turns out they got the more money that trump supposedly gave to hbcus

Trump signs bill restoring funding for black colleges

“The bill authorizes $85 million a year for historically black colleges and universities, along with $100 million for Hispanic-serving institutions, $30 million for tribal schools and $40 million for a variety of other minority-serving institutions.”

weird Bernie aligns with the trump press release. :jbhmm:

turns out white colleges been stealing money from hbcus by claiming their minority or Hispanic serving institutions.

Many colleges striving to become Hispanic-Serving Institutions

Vote away shyt we built brehs :martin:

I think it's actually the ticket most perfectly calibrated to get buy-in and support from all factions of the Democratic party.

I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic or on cocaine, but a Warren/Castro ticket would get destroyed by Trump easily :laff:

It’s over for Liz Breh. I tried to tell y’all, she’s not getting the nomination :smugbiden:

Ryan Grim has such a great analysis here.

6:52

"Let's say you're Dennis Kucinich, and you've got the best organized campaign, ever. It doesn't matter. The fundamentals are so strongly against you. And the question is, Is Sanders within striking distant? Is he within the realm of possibility? And the electorate he's running in is the worst possible for him. I mention the demographics (Traditional Dem primary voters being risk averse, wealthier, older) but specifically the idea that so many Dems are so hellbent on beating Trump.

You can give them all the polls that have ever been conducted that show Bernie Sanders will beat Trump. They just don't want to believe it. They could see polls that Howard Dean is going to beat... George W. Bush in 2004. They didn't believe it. To them, John Kerry, was the guy that they needed.

... It's 40 years of propaganda from the Democratic establishment. But, its also the years in the wilderness since the Reagan era. Since 1980, Democrats have felt rejected. They have felt like the hippies and the civil rights movement went too far for these American people that they don't understand. So therefore, we need to be as boring as possible so that the rest of the country doesn't hate us. And along comes Joe Biden, and that's the guy!

So, it might just be the case that the structural obstacles are too high. Which is why he's investing so heavily in bringing out new people who have no investment in Joe Biden and the entire pathology of the last 30 years of Democratic disarray."

they decided to double dip. Get as many white ppl as you can to to enroll in the main campus.

establish remote campuses in the same communities devry is in for hispanics. Push as many Hispanics as possible that you can to enroll in said remote campuses. Even if they go to class or not.

Profit.

Then get Bernie/Booker to push that those colleges are needed with their 15% graduation rates for 6 years (Which doesn’t include their Hispanic populations)

nice bonus at year end.

@FAH1223 Yeah it's probably smart just to hammer home on one issue rather than that whole list. But I think this direction is okay and we will get another Biden/Bernie back and forth.

When Zaid shyts on Bernie's millennial staff and says they need a David Axelrod type, I think he's trying to speak into existence himself getting hired as Bernie's comms director :pachaha:He made some good points earlier today about how Bernie could use his vote against Iran sanctions in 2017 to his advantage.

He saw how much money the campaign is raising and he's like :feedme:

Biden is at 42% with African American support. Bernie is in second with 23%.

Bernie is at 36% with Latino support. Biden in second at 24% support.

If these hold, Bernie can win California and Nevada. Biden will win South Carolina, Georgia, other Southern states.

Texas too. But I think if the non-voter to voter strategy works there, Bernie can be competitive.

Morning Consult got some good data.
