biden knows that this election isn't about democrat turnout. it's about flipping the voters who are dying for a reasonable alternative to trump

it's crazy to me that you guys are concerned about democrat turnout when the republican running in 2020 is donald trump :dead: the democrats might get 70 million votes and 60 are gonna be strictly just to vote trump out no matter what. it's a certainty that trump loses the popular vote, it's just gonna come down to the fukkin swing states again
I'm old enough to remember everyone saying Bush was just going to lose in 2004, people are going to vote him out, he's the worst president ever. :skip: People might not like Trump, but if people don't have a reason to vote for you, they'll just stay home. The economy is not collapsing like it was in 2008, so people are more comfortable, which doesn't bode well for Democrats. Turnout will make or break Democrats chances of winning.

When Beto got emotional and said he was gonna take guns away in a debate.
I dont think that really matters as VP. But he's a good activist and might encourage some voters. If you're okay with Biden's policy I'm thinking you'll be okay with Beto's interesting positions during his campaign. :mjlol:

But yea, he's not taking guns away in America. :mjlol::mjlol:

if hillary got 66 million votes, then i dont see a single one of those voters staying home for biden against trump. maybe if it was biden vs pence, but not trump :dead:

im no political expert like that team of indians, but im just not worried about dem turnout in 2020 :yeshrug: maybe im wrong

I hear you but this is why I've been feeling this way. I've been paying very close attention to Biden's town halls in the last few months. I'm watching the one from yesterday in New Hampshire right now. A lot of people in the audience are old white men and women. That's his core audience. Them old white men "look" like the gun totting type that would be turned off by someone like Beto.

I remember those days because his administration ruined my generation to make it. People thought I was out of my mind when I said Bush would win again and I haven't been wrong about politics since.

I mean he is crypto Libertarian/Republican at the end of the day
Def part of the 'Libertarian' left of the Dem party. He's a life-long Dem so I won't call him a GOPer.

He should have just said public option with transition to M4All. And leaned into his experience as a CEO, having to deal with healthcare premiums every year, changing plans, and talk about an employer mandate tax would be cheaper and easier on businesses over a certain amount of employees to pay. Plus, full health premiums are hidden from employees who only are paying 15-20%...

His policy team could have just chosen the number of plans that exist... former Rep. Peter Stark's old Americare bill is one. The Jon Walker MICA plan is built on it, which I've actually linked to this guy, his campaign manager:

Yang getting shytted on for his healthcare plan and rightly so.

this is a core universal healthcare policy. In universal healthcare you sue the government not the doctor. Canada and Britain have the most restrictive malpractice laws in the world.

essentially the government ain’t paying for shyt unless it’s extremely blatant a doctor fukked up.

Yangs giving y’all the truth no filter, :francis:.

Y’all gotta drink the bad with the good with universal healthcare.

Don’t complain. :yeshrug:

I actually agree with you

But Medicare For All right now is a clear bill in Congress by both Bernie and Pramila Jayapal. Jon Conyers introduced it every year in the House. Ted Kennedy introduced various iterations. So he's being disingenous on his framing.

Just be a for a robust public option, finance it by getting an employer mandate like Germany, Japan, and his parent's home country of Taiwan do it... and call it a day. Or base it on Australia's Medicare.
