The 2016 playbook didn’t work.

come up with something else that turns non voters into voters

it’s the 2018 playbook.

we flipped 41 house seats last year from republican to dem. How many white progressives won? 1-2.
How many poc progressives won? 1-2.

The Rest we’re moderates. 92% of the ppl who flipped districts blue were moderates.

Moderates are the reason we have the house right now not White progressives, And it’s not even close.

This was the 2018 strategy, any white progressives are simply riding the coat tails of moderates who Actually put in the work to gain the power.

that’s why it’s hilarious to read these twitter leftists that think Bernie and Warren actually have power :mjlol:. They’d be nothing without moderates.

92% breh, u can’t argue with facts :francis:

Moderates are also the reason we had Democrat House reps vote against impeachment.
The biggest jump in 18 voter turnout was from younger voters, were these people coming out because they loved the moderate candidates so much...or was it a referendum on Trump?

that’s fine if we’re trying to turn solid blue states bluer. But we’re trying to win, moderates produce nation wins/majorities. Progressives do not.

if Bernie gets 3 million more young voters in California, Vermont and California. That doesn’t help us at all.

Bernie polls fine against Trump in battleground states.

Also, you're laying out an argument that basically says no one should ever support a progressive presidential candidate. So what are people who support progressive candidates meant to do? Give up and fall in line forever?

Or vote 3rd party til these political gang bangers actually allow one to be viable?

They would gladly rather lose to Trump, believe that.

Personally I feel like progressive candidates would be viable if they stuck to 3-5 main points. If U go progressive on everything, you can’t win elections. That’s an Achilles heal I see with progressive candidates.

But to be blunt, Yes. Most ppl aren’t super progressive :yeshrug:

:ohhh: The only leftist to win the dem nomination in the past 40 years was bc he bridged white leftists and black ppl.

yet y’all pushing Bernie and Warren, while trying to say Black leftists leaders are unqualified.

I’ll never understand the logic y’all got in here.:francis:

If election results in flipped seats is the metric then yes. :yeshrug:

The notion that he is/was a progressive is false, by his own admission. Him finessing progressives to get elected and then moving like a republican, bailing out wallstreet and all kinds of other fukk shyt that a good portion of the people that got him there didn't want is exactly how we got Trump 2016.

Bernie is who he is in any era and if Democrats want to continue trying to scare people into the voting booths by making Trump out to be a Darth Vader, don't be surprised that the people that watched your strategy fail last time with a better/more popular candidate want Yoda to step in the fray.

If that’s the case so be it. I think the democratic and republican side needs to be splintered anyway and act more like the British parliament.

to play devils advocate Bernie himself openly states none of his policies have a chance of being passed without atleast 8 years of him being in office.

if you’re going to do it, be smarter about it and do it with a younger candidate. Bernie isn’t a strong long term strategic decision :yeshrug: and that’s bc old white male socialists are the true power players and he’s there guy :francis:

Y’all in the same position as everyone else but try to hide behind a couple of 20-30 year olds tweeting.

Be honest with yourselves :francis:
