l don't think he's the only candidate who shares those thoughts. I've heard enough kumbaya nonsense from Biden to presume that Trump will get off scot free if he's prez. I could also envision Bernie not wasting his energy on it either considering his ambitious agenda. The only candidate that I am convinced will give their AG free-will to go after the Trump orbit is Warren.
My neighbor is an associate for his company. They are based in downtown Dallas.
It’s not about him being pardoned—which is likely—it is about the fact that he’s acting as if the impeachment itself is a witch hunt. He also said that we shouldn’t get into the habit of jailing our political opponents but Trump’s crimes are legitimate. Most likely, Trump and his kids would be getting hit with all sorts of suits on other charges any way.
I can’t see anyone outside of Warren or Bernie seriously sending Trump to jail. And even then they’d probably let him off on that if he agreed to testify about Russian collusion and admit to guilt for enriching his family during the presidency and pay a massive fine for it. They’d humble him but I doubt he does jail time.
If Bush and Cheney didn’t go to jail, no President will. Once there is a new commander in Chief, the best way to heal and bring the country together is to try and move forward. Trying to send your predecessor to prison will only divide the country even more. Warren and Bernie wouldn’t even try it.
