Elizabeth Warren has a whole page dedicated to her plans to help the black community. I've also listened to her speak about her plans on the Voting While Black podcast

I agree she does and that’s the whole point of my post. She has a whole package that black moderates say she needs to have.

Not black progressives. She has nothing for black progressives.

Every “specific” black agenda idea she has (not just a progressive idea she says blacks will benefit from) comes from black moderates.

she has nothing on her agenda that black progressives have explicitly asked for, Bernie too.

and black people generally want the same thing, outside of Twitter I don’t see blacks people dividing themselves into progressive and moderates, I don’t see differences in Policy beliefs other than social values which tend to divide along age or coastal urban vs southern lines, not some arbitrary moderate/progressive lines

Well just to humor u, on onefinancial issue. A complete and utter elimination of chapter 13 bankruptcy that keeps black people in debt for a decade after they file bankruptcy. They stay in debt 10 times longer than whites because they’re funneled to
Chapter 13 way more than whites.

Warren and Bernie are silent on this, but supposedly anti bankruptcy

Chapter 13 way more than whites.

Plenty of posters have used liz’s anti bankruptcy, financial accountably agenda in here as a reason to vote for her.

Her financial accountability agenda helps whites way more than blacks, specifically middle class whites with access to more Regulated financial insitutions that whites have acces to. She’s not for registering pay day lenders, eliminating overdraft fees and check cashing fees. All of which effect blacks more than whites.

Entrenched pro black moderates do not push for these changes as pro black progressives do

What are black progressives asking for?

elimination of chapter 13 bankruptcy,

Elimination of police department funding for buying products from defense contractors that have the federal goverment account for more than 20%+ of their revenue,

elimination of police ticket fees that account for more than 10% of your biweekly income,

No predatory or pay day lenders,

No overdraft fees from credit unions,

Elimination of healthcare debt once the public option and/or m4all is passed,

Federally funded job development placement centers in black areas for any infrastructure bills passed over 200 million,

Grants to all black homeowners who have their houses in redlined districts for over 10 years,

Elimination of state voting districts that account for 50%+ of delegates with less than the median racial population(Mississippi),
