Something people fail to look at is that OSU has the best strength of schedule amongst all the undefeated teams. LSU has the better looking top wins, but they have also played some pretty horrid teams which brings their overall strength of schedule rating down.

That’s not what I asked

Clemson doesn’t have a better resume than Penn state

It doesn't matter. I understand the crusade that you're on, but the rankings will be shaped to reflect the best four teams. A one season resume consisting of wins over Iowa and Michigan isn't going to beat out 22 straight wins and 2 out the last 4 chips. The committee has already shown precedent with OSU and Alabama getting in when they didn't even win the conference.

1. LSU -Best resume so far so they are #1. However if A&M isn't a good win for Clemson or Bama...then Texas isn't for LSU. Also not sure how this team will hold up vs a team that can match them Off & Def. Got in a shootout w Texas but since Texas play flag football defense they escaped. UF and Auburn both slowed them but offensively barely had enough.

2. Bama - New Mexico state is statistically the worst team any top 5 team has played this far ranking in the 100s in offense and defense (until Penn St or OSU play Rutgers). They are on cruise control and while they have issues on defense...it's not a bad as people think.

3. Clemson - People are so busy equating Trevor's INTs to the team as a whole to realize this is potentially the most dangerous team in the nation. That's because Clemson is the only team on the list that is judged differently so it's a lose lose

4. OSU - They are coasting vs teams with no offense to challenge them. Best Offensive team they played so far is Indiana with 4 teams ranking between 85th and 129th. Fields is taking too many sacks (18) but no one has made them pay. With that said...most consistent team at this time.

5. Penn St - Not impressed
6. Oregon Baylor Minn App St

I think you said what I’ve been thinking about Clemson, I’m becoming increasingly concerned about them, other then Lawrence’s picks, y’all have looked unbeatable, kind of like us, can’t really do much about how other teams perform on our schedule, NMSU is bad scheduling but years ago I don’t think I could’ve imagined the bottom of the SEC being this bad.

I just think Clemson is getting overlooked because of their bad schedule and Lawrence’s picks but in December, no way y’all get left out if y’all are 13-0.

Only thing that can hold Clemson back imo is themselves similar to us in 2010.

I agree. I never complain about someone's schedule... esp. when 9 of the 12 games most teams play don't change from year to year. So with Clemson we play our 8 ACC games, USC, home and home with Auburn, UGA,...then Texas A&M, our mandatory in state school per state law [so it's always going to rotate between Furman, SC State, Citadel, & Wofford. So what they are really saying is they are mad that we played UNC-Charlotte. I remember them griping about Bama playing like Mercer, Colorado St and someone else a few years back.

And with Trevor... the sad thing is they harped so much on TL's INT's but didn't pay attention to the fact that his stats are actually trending upwards!

2018 13 games: 154.0 QB rating 212 completions out of 326 attempts 65.0 completion % 2,606 Passing Yd / 200.5 ypg / 8.0 Yd/attempt 24 TD's 4 INT's 8 Sacks

2019 9 games: 164.1 QB rating 149 completions out of 225 attempts 66.2 completion % 2,027 Passing Yd / 225.2 ypg / 9.0 Yd/attempt 20 TD's 8 INT's 5 Sacks

**est 13 games: 164.1 QB rating 215 completions out of 325 attempts 66.2 completion % 2,927 Passing Yd / 225.2 ypg / 9.0 Yd/attempt 29 TD's 12 INT's 7 Sacks

Keep in mind that last year he was responsible for 25 TD's total... this year already he's at 26 Total.

Looking at that UNC game again...if he took those check downs...that's easily 17 extra points... the missed FG and Powell tripping on his own is another 10...and suddenly that close looking game isn't really close. UNC banked on Trevor attempting the tight window passes and trying for heisman throws he took them.

Look at Etienne sitting by himself on this play but TL wanted the TD throw [and of the throw...he had the easier one to the TE and not Ross ]. Crazy thing is... he hit Travis and it's a good chance he scores with all the space he had or at least get in the redzone.

The ONLY reason why they would have Bama ahead of LSU or OSU is to set up the 1 vs 2 matchup. But the committee isn't in a partnership with CBS, so I don't know why they would care to set up that 1 vs. 2 game. And I'm only saying this because it's clear Bama hasn't had any wins over good teams yet to justify them being ahead. Won't matter anyway because next Tuesday it'll be 1. Bama/LSU winner, 2. OSU, and so on.

“I think it's for the fans. Doesn't mean anything to us because if we lose this weekend, we're not going to be in the top four, that's for sure,” Day said of Tuesday night’s rankings release. “What matters is where we're at once we're done with the season, the regular season.”

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields said he has “zero interest” in where the Buckeyes are ranked this week.

“It doesn’t matter ‘til we’re done with the, hopefully we make it to the Big Ten Championship Game but after that game, that’s when it matters, so we’re just trying to take it week by week, because we know no matter where they rank us today, that won’t affect us where we’re ranked toward the end of the season,” Fields said. “So I’m not really worried about the rankings right now.

“I don’t care if they put us 25, to be honest. I really don’t care.”

CFP committee gonna gas us a lil so they potentially have a top 10 draw with us and UGA. I’d see us at like 11 with the opportunity to move up due to the Minnesota-Penn game
