If I was the committee, what am I hoping the nat'l title matchup is? There's no way they can reasonably drop Clemson to 4 to avoid another Clemson-OSU stinker (I think itd be the other way this time), but OU OSU? :hubie: That matchup brings in numbers always. LSU-Clemson could be a "styles make matchups" thing

unless LSU beats the dog crap out of the slaws, I think we finishing 4th in the rankings for SEC teams...Its gone be weird as hell having a 9-3 team with two top 6 wins playing some roody poo squad. Unless both Florida and UGA going to NY6 bowls and we play Wisconsin (god please no)

Means we'd be beating the shyt out of Michigan :hubie: The reason we projected to play UW is that they expected to drop behind PSU after playing OSU. I personally hope they win

I hate that you have 2 have the 2nd ACC and the non p5 conference champ in. If they really want to make these games "matter" however the committee ranks 5-12 they pick from thkse teams to play those games.

Like for example do this

Rose Bowl - 6. OU vs 12. Bama

Orange Bowl - 8. Wisconsin vs 11. Auburn

Cotton Bowl - 5. Utah vs 7. Baylor

Sugar Bowl - 9. Florida vs 10. Penn State

Yeah I dont think you should just have teams fall into spots. Id do whatever to get Bama vs OU. I guess you'd need UGA to make it in the CFP.

Orange Bowl is ACC vs best of B10/SEC and Florida should be that after Wisconsin loses. That leaves Auburn and Bama to be figured out as the next SEC teams up. Auburn is basically guaranteed to play the next best B10 team which gives Alabama the chance to play whoever

The games don't matter outside of the playoffs. If you aren't in the playoffs then the only thing that matters is how many hotel rooms can your school fill. That's why conferences try to force bowls to pick teams in certain spots, because what used to happen is a school that had a great year and won 9-10 games would get passed up on that once every 20 year bowl opportunity for the perennial power that won 7 games but will bring a huge following to the city.

The boards who run the bowls don't give a damn about who you want to see on TV.
