#3 with 639 daps is @Buckeye Fever experiencing getting involved in a 6th grade basketball game

:dead:

So they asked the crowd if 2 adults wanted to play to make it 5 on 5:banderas:

I threw my jacket off and ran down the bleachers. Then some white guy volunteered to play for the opposing team.

I honestly went in there with the intent to not shoot and just set the kids up to score. But them nikkaz was down 23-4 after the 1st quarter. After that, I just started isolating and takin kids to the hoop. I scored 32 pts in the 2nd quarter. I was in that zone the greats talk about. I would hear parents in the crowd yelling "PASS THE DAMN BALL:bryan:" I paid that shyt no mind though. And on the last possession of the game one of the kids on my team had a chance to take the ball to the hoop for an easy layup, but i caught up with him at the free throw line, stopped him like :whoa:, pointed at the scoreboard and told him to just dribble it out

We ended up winnin the game 97-59.

I doubt i even go to anymore games if I have to sit in the crowd with them angry ass parents.

I know I was wrong, but when I stepped on that court and saw them lights, I had to get my shyt off. I was cut from my high school team and I never really got over that.

Unfortunately, this thread is more of a sobering reminder of just how far this site has fallen off,
and of how little the people responsible for the fall even care about the site- than it is a fun thread. It’s crazy looking at those quotes and reading a few of the replies and seeing how much carefree fun we had, and then to look at things now how they are today. Stripped of all the features that made the forum stand out amongst all other forums, stopped having contests and giveaways, stopped doing POTY/WPOTY(bk n cook used to do the threads now we do them ourselves).

Great thread premise, this thread, but it’s hard to be jolly because of how much it just reminds you of how far this place has fallen.

I lose a lil respect for @Brooklynzson for this, and for not at least handing the reigns over to someone who actually gives a f*ck. I even made a thread offering to financially sponsor whatever efforts it would take to get our homepage and plethora of other features back up and running. Thread flopped horrifically, and with nary a reply from either “owner”.
