2018 First Annual theColi Analytics Awards

It’s time for the first annual theColi Analytics Awards! Here we highlight the number crunching and big data of the site we know and love that @cook and @brooklynson along with many mods have put that work into maintaining for free. This is the Moneyball of Coli users and postings. No voting, just the hard stats of what we’ve been up to.

Though the basic information like the top members by message count and daps received is available, that doesn’t give the whole picture that you get from analyzing ratios (for example your field goal percentage can suck even if you make a lot of shots).

We are breaking this down into three main sections:

First, user awards (this post and the next) giving the good, bad, and ugly on our top members.

Second, celebrating new 2018 members and their achievements (or lack thereof)

Third smilie usage

Please note I used some web crawling (scrapy) and parsing (BeautifulSoup) so this data is a few days old and numbers have (slightly) changed so don’t get in a pissing match on being exact. Also, some people who haven’t posted in years may have gotten missed but oh well
