I don't understand why they are so hellbent on destroying this country.

This bill sucks for the GOP supporters for the most part. Let's be real, this is a hidden hand bill. The society wanted this. No other way. If democrats really cared, they would have put the same word that goes out whenever O.J. is mentioned to bring attention to this bill. You think a bill about Black reparations wouldn't have everyone talking about it. This is the hidden hand. Blaming white supremacists on the ground level that will be destroyed by this bill doesn't do us real justice.

Yeah the flynn story was a big deal, in the morning, but any media I watched yesterday was not CNN and MSNBC. It was CSPAN 2 to watch the debates on this shyt because I realized that the flynn story for now is just basically an update on a running story. This shyt is going to affect me personally and every other american personally.

Yet, from what I'm hearing, CNN and MSNBC spent all their time on this Flynn shyt even while this is being voted on. That is why I don't watch the news unless it some breaking news story like some major disaster.

There are so many fukking devious layers to this power grab, but the surface play, and the most obvious, is this. This country will never be governed by character, it will always be angry, old, rich white criminals passes generation to generation.

If anything this needs to be a wake up call for democrats to stop trying to compromise with the GOP. It won't work. It's time for Dems to press forward on progressive policies that are actually good for society if/when they regain the majority.

No more reaching across the aisle and compromising. The GOP isn't interested.

No more trying to convince conservatives to vote logically. They're immune to it.

No more "going high" when they go low. They're not even playing the same game so swing the fukk back.

If you fight for your constituents then they'll vote you back into office. The focus needs to be on inspiring left leaning voters to come out and vote, not on trying to compromise or flip conservative voters or get support from the right.

No, the bill sucks for everyone in this country who isn't insulated by wealth. The bill was in part crafted to punish blue states so how can it mostly hurt Republicans? Most Republican voters didn't want this so how could society have wanted this? The party is passing this for the donor class and have said as much.

Republican voters are complicit because they consistently support the party of bad public policy. I'm blaming them for voting for people who are morally bankrupt and are diametrically opposed to passing good legislation.

This isn't about really caring, the Democrats literally have no power to stop this because it can pass under reconciliation process. Print media is already writing scathing pieces about the outcome of the bill and that amounts to very little power. If the Republicans want to pass this -- by all accounts they do -- then they will do so and there is nothing the opposition can do to stop it.

There is no hidden hand the Republican agenda is naked. Benefit the wealthy and disregard everyone else with extreme prejudice.

College students. The House bill scraps many popular deductions for college students and college grads with student loans. The House bill eliminates the popular student loan debt write off, and it forces graduate students who receive tuition waivers (sometimes as much as $20,000 or more) to count that money as income for tax purposes, even though they don't actually receive money in their pockets. It would be a big hit and many universities are saying it could heavily dissuade graduate study. The Senate bill does not make these changes.

The bill punishes people who make sub-200K in blue states, but red voters who make sub-60K also live here. It punishes them, too. Just like it punishes white people who make 25K in Indiana and vote for Republicans.

I think the pathology of white voters is pretty fascinating, coming from the perspective of a black person. They would rather see black citizens fail than prosper themselves. Ultimately, no matter how unhappy they are under the oligarchic power of Republican pols, they ultimately prefer seeing those pols lash out at black people who are doing better than them financially.
