@str8up @Poitier

I just watched the footage of Zion vs Naasir Little.

I've heard about Little but dude looks like a top 15 kid in this class.

Also I haven't seen him play but dream vision has a big that's 6'10 with like a 7'7 wingspan..:wow:

Yeah, I said a few pages back Little is clearly a top 20 guy, if not top 10.

Might check out Dream Vision this week in Vegas...

Oh, and I think Anfernee Simmons might be the best guard in the class, not Rome.

I saw someone throw around the Fultz comparison to Anfernee? Who does he resemble to you?

What's your thoughts on Jahvon..he doesn't have the best tools but he just seems to know how to play.

Jahvon is about as complete a guard you can find at the amateur level....but like you said the tools longterm might limit his ceiling but he will still be good.

Don't know if Anfernee has that type of size or vision or off ball defense but the handle/footwork with that pull-up is real with more athleticism than he'll get credit for just like Fultz.

I understand that nobody is putting Simons on the same level as Fultz but if you go back a year Simons isn't anywhere close to him. I also see some similarities though, he's just not as fluid/smooth.

I like the ball handling and agree with the sneaky athleticism. But Simons' mechanics are a lot worse, he's going to need to put in work to translate some things to the college level, especially his pull up despite the fact that it seems to be working well currently.

Can't really speak to his defense or vision at the moment, haven't seen enough. And again, I know we're not really comparing him to Fultz, just observing some similarities. Not sure I'd go as far as crowing him as the top guard either but it's not outlandish. I know I'm probably biased toward Romeo but that doesn't factor into my opinion on anyone else.

I know Rome is your boy but I need to see more creativity with the ballhandling....right now he is a straight line guy who simply uses his first step to out-athlete anyone to get to the rim.

I get what you saying with Simmons, but every year it seems we hear about prospects who folks are worried about their form. I think his release is so quick and he creates so much space with his handle and footwork that it won't matter.

Just look at this shyt, no one is staying in front of him:

I'd like to see Romeo work on his handle too, or at least his footwork. Even an improved euro step would go a long way with the current makeup of his game.

But something that I like with both Romeo and Anfernee is their mentality (at least from what I've seen from Simons) and their approach to the game. Makes me a little less worried about some weaknesses. People always say "well I'm not worried about 'x skill' because it's fixable. Anfernee and Romeo seem like the type of players who actually have the drive and understanding to fix those things.

It's not solely the mechanics I'm worried about with Simons but the mechanics paired with his size which isn't as great as you'd like to see given his skillset. That's why I love Markelle's pull up game so much, he gets to it so quick off the dribble (as does Anfernee) but he goes straight up and has a much smoother release. Even more advanced defenders can't do anything about it even if they're able to stay in front of him.

I think he can still be really effective if he gets more looks off of screens and really puts an emphasis on good shot selection.

Players taking advantage of changing speeds is something I wish I'd see more often too, even with a basic handle you can still be quite effective like Ntilikina for example.

Dotson was ok. More so Quickley is trash. Not seeing a top 15 let alone 50 guy.
