Do the money grab and potential "exposure " of this bowl outweigh the opportunity to have your conference as an automatic qualifier for the playoffs ?

man heck yeah, NCA&T made the playoffs this year and nobody cared about that game. I don't even know if it was televised

Well written ... solid numbers and info. Opting out of the playoffs seems to defy the spirit of competition (A&T had to be chosen at large and wasn't the conference's top representative), but it seems the bowl game makes better business sense . ..

There's no competition with HBCUs in the FCS playoffs.

Why is the SWAC still messing around with Russell Athletics
These jerseys are terrible

Alcorn (and a few others) just have the cheap uniform options. Plain cuts with no last names.

Ours are actually decent compared to the generic Russell options. It aint Nike/Adidas but its alright with me. I prefer Adidas tho.

I thought they were under Nike at some point. I see a number of HBCU's rockin' Russell Athletic.

Grambling was Nike back in the 90s but then the MEAC and SWAC somehow got seduced by Russell Athletic. The MEAC finally got away from Russell this season and the schools can pick whoever they want. NCAT & NCCU are with Nike, Hampton is with Under Armour, etc
