@RammerJammer you going to the turkey day classic ?

Nah, out of town this year. I probably would've went to the Migos and Young Dolph concert and the game Thursday if I was in town. Gonna watch it on ESPN3 though.

Still don't like how Steve Harvey just gon swoop in and plaster his name on the classic :camby:

SU and Grambling still have to play to determine which plays Alcorn in the SCG.

If SU beats Grambling and plays Alcorn for SCG, we will go back to Celebration Bowl win or lose

Not necessarily. Final call rests with ESPN and them, I think. The game is marketed as what determines the HBCU National Champion. I doubt they'd want a 6-5, 5-6 Alcorn State squad playing for that.

Don't know where you're getting your info but that's wrong. ESPN will just have to deal with the possibility of a below .500 Alcorn State squad.

Southern is ineligible for postseason play, per the NCAA. Like @MostReal said Alcorn is in no matter what the result is IF they play Southern.

And I've never seen a this "HBCU National Championship," I was uneasy with A&T calling it that after they won, but whatever. Until D1s are playing D2s then I'll call it that. Tuskegee beat Fam this year and a number of other HBCU D2s can beat D1s

I'm just telling you what I was told/heard. I could very well be wrong. But, I know Southern is ineligible because people call up here asking whether they are or not, and I'm the one answering the question for them because a couple of them can't understand how SU can play for the SWAC title but not the Celebration Bowl.

I personally don't acknowledge the Celebration Bowl as the HBCU National Championship, but it's marketed like that. At least unofficially.
