I guess I'm glad that Sixers got the 3rd pick so that they have to use it to draft Russell or Mudiay and actually start playing nikkas instead of trading bigs around.

But it would have been cool if we could have gotten that #6 and hopefully picked up Mudiay+Hez.

Ended up losing all of our future picks this year (Lakers top 5 protected, Heat top 10 protected and OKC top 18 protected) by a small margin

As of right now the team has 5 2nd round draft picks.

Pending trades

L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Phoenix) protected for selections 1-3 in 2016 and 1-3 in 2017 and unprotected in 2018

Miami's 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Cleveland) protected for selections 1-10 in 2016 and unprotected in 2017
Oklahoma City's 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Cleveland to Denver) protected for selections 1-15 in 2016 and 1-15 in 2017; if Oklahoma City has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Philadelphia by 2017, then Oklahoma City will instead convey its 2018 2nd round pick and 2019 2nd round pick to Philadelphia

We probably get OKC 30th pick next year, Lakers meh pick next year and hopefully the Heat just struggle in 2017 and get their top 5 pick :patrice:

People always say stuff like that but we will be right back here next year...does last years draft seem like one of the greatest draft classes of all time?

the grade on last years draft is incomplete. 4 of the top 7 picks were injured for almost the entire season (Embiid, Randle, Parker, Gordon). we really have no idea how good it'll be until we see what Embiid, Parker, and Randle can do. if they live up to the hype like Wiggins, then its an all-timer. if not, its a flop.

all i know is I watched the mcdonalds all american game, the hoops summitt, and the jordan brand classic. the 2016 class is TERRIBLE. only 3 guys stood out to me as quality nba players (Ben Simmons, Skal Labissiere, and Cheick Diallo). and only simmons looks like he can be future star.

just wait for 2017 though. most nba scouts think the 2017 class will as good if not better than 2014 and 2015.

But the point remains this was supposed to be a weak class as well....next years has some very skilled bigs and dudes like Jaleel brown and Ingram.

very rare to get 3 great drafts in a row. its the law of averages. we been eatin good the last 2 years. next year we'll have to fast. at least 2017 is on the horizon and we won't be straving like we did from 2010-2013 when you had 4 consecutive terrible drafts.

one of the reasons talent around the league is at an all-time low right now is because of how weak those drafts were.

People said that about this draft class too around this time last year. They were like this is the draft of bigs and other than Towns/Okafor/Mudiay you won't really get a franchise pick. But Russell and a few other guys had breakout seasons and some other guys got limelight like Winslow, and it rounded out to a pretty solid draft class. I think the draft class will figure itself out as time goes on.

People don't want to hear it but honestly @haralabob (on twitter) has always said it best. If players don't want to play in certain cities, maybe those cities shouldn't have teams.
They could always take away teams from Milwaukee and Minnesota and give teams to Seattle, Vegas, or Pittsburgh.

This draft lottery feels completely rigged to me tho.....

So somehow Miami and LA falls into the place so that the Sixers don't take their pick....Ha

:pachaha: we'll get it next year

From Atlanta to San Fran to LA 4now
minnesota need a point guard anwyay, they need to trade down and see if they can get something esle from somebody in the eastern conference, them centers aint helping them win

don't think a center is going to help the Lakers next year, but it all depends on how Julius Randle develops, western tough
did this man say trade out the first pick :mjlol:this the NBA bro not the NFL you don't trade the #1 pick unless its for Lebron or KD

These young guys now-a-days man....smh, how you gon say you don't wanna play for teams x,y & z? Who do these cats think they are? These boys should be grateful for the opportunity to even play in the pros and make millions. Man I'd play for the Idaho Potatoes, New Hampshire Squires and the Vermont Pigeons if it meant making millions.
