I'd seriously trade Kentucky for FSU just so the SEC can have no flaws

I am sure Dantonio will take the conference championships and Rose Bowl victories over recruiting rankings and national relevance.
Until otherwise proven, Dantonio and his staff are at the top of the heap in the B1G, especially defensively. Outside of Dennard (and Bullough, who must've done some wild shyt to get booted given his family's legacy), they had a bunch of role players who meshed incredibly well due to the staff's ability to coach up. If they can pull and keep eligible a couple Malik McDowells or Craig Evans each year, they'll be even better. The offense won't wow anybody with Bollman/Warner at the helm but they're passable.

As for UM, Hoke is gambling for his job with the Nussmeier hire. If Nussmeier/Funk can even get the OL up to functional levels, they'll be in much better shape. If not, UM could bring in Damian Harris and Mike Weber and it won't make much difference...everything starts up front. While I think some of the OL were overhyped out of school (Bars, Kalis, Tulley-Tillman), guys like Magnuson, Bosch and Kugler have the tools to be all-conference guys. Again, there needs to be a better system installed.

OSU: This is my alma mater but I'm not as optimistic as some. I do expect them to reach the playoff this year but will be keeping a very close eye on the o-line. I'm excited for the class they brought in but the upperclassmen other than Decker/Elflein/Lindsay scare me. It'll be interesting to see if Meech Knox or Jamarco Jones actually get time. There will be some growing pains for sure with young linemen. Long-term, the QB position is iffy...Jones and Barrett will benefit from some reps this year but will be awfully green going into 2015 (unless Miller suffers a legit injury, which likely would scuttle the 2014 playoff plans).

As we've seen with OSU, Michigan and Penn State over the past couple decades, even traditional powerhouses will go through down spells, with n guarantee when or if they come back. I think Michigan State has as good a chance as any to become a long-term threat to conference titles. Comparing them to Iowa does the MSU staff a disservice; I think they could be more like the Wisconsin program under Alvarez. Not a constant playoff contender but one consistently in the hunt for a trip to the B1G title game.

I'll be the first to admit, I really wanted Clemson in the SEC instead of Missouri. Clemson just seems like the perfect fit. FSU and Miami would be good additions too.
