Anyone ever keep up with these Phil Steele rankings he releases daily. They're pretty popular on some other forums I browse I notice he hyping up Maryland and Northwestern as potential sleepers.

Phil Steele put out his Pre-Season All American 1,2,3 and 4 O/D team rankings. I think he is pretty spot on with his first team QB.. 
Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon: Mariota gets the nod over Jameis Winston because he is my pick to win the Heisman. Last year, Mariota became the first-ever Oregon quarterback to top 4,000 yards of total offense (4,380) while accounting for 40 total touchdowns and just four interceptions. He accomplished this despite wearing a knee brace for much of the second half of the season, which limited his mobility. Now 100 percent healthy, he has a solid shot to top even last year's remarkable stats while leading a Ducks team that figures to play

Nah, Clemons was the last white QB starter for Oregon(05, and he broke his ankle that year)..

Thought Bennett got 1-2 starts before mariota got there?
Nah, it was Thomas, then Mariota. After Mariota beat him out for the starters job in 2013, Bennett transferred to Southeastern Louisiana. He did start a game in 2011 when Thomas was hurt tho if I am not mistaken.
