How many big time programs would suspend their star quarterback an entire year for cheating? Or self report cheating by four of their best players? Would Auburn? :rudy:

This scandal actually proves that Notre Dame puts academics above athletics and it makes me really respect their program.

You mean so they can avoid harsher NCAA penalties?

OU did it with probably our biggest QB recruit ever. Rhett Bomar was a 5-star recruit, the #1 QB in the country....I dont think we've had a 5-star QB since then .

Stop giving ND credit for something ANY major program would do to avoid the NCAA sledgehammer.

NCAA won't do shyt to Notre Dame anyway.

All this does is cement Brian Kelly as the GOAT scumbag in CFB. Killed a kid for practice video, cover up and make light of a alleged rape only for the girl to kill herself. now academic fraud. And all of this in only 4 years

I got a feeling he gonna get the :camby:if they go 7-5 again this season he's a good coach but too much off the field shyt done happened for him to slide by with 4/5 loss seasons the big timers will get fed up. Kelly vs Hoke Sept 6th gonna be the end of someone tenure most likely.

To be honest, this is one of the most fukked days I've ever experienced as a Notre dame football fan. I am only 23, so I wasn't really cognizant of the whole Kim Dunbar thing. I do a job where I do two 3 hour appointments daily, so I was literally refreshing ISD and IE the whole time during the second appointment. Notre dame football is one of those things that I hold in such high esteem, that I would be absolutely crushed if there were any severe NCAA violations. To me, Notre Dame football is supposed to be one of those entities in life that is RELATIVELY pure. I know that athletes in big league sports get preferential treatment (as a Xavier alum, I've personally seen some of the shyt our basketball players get away with), but Notre Dame is supposed to be that shining beacon that I can look at those SEC fans and say "fukk you, I know we do right". I'm just happy that it doesn't seem the NCAA will be involved. This day has been so weird. I don't know. My faith has been shaken a bit. I just venting for my own mental health.

Maybe my mind is warped because I know how college football in the South and in general works but who holds their football program to that type of morality? :heh:

Absolutely ridiculous. Why be a football fan at that point?

SEC Network is pathetic. I recorded the 1st show on there yesterday.

They had Scotty Thurman on there talking about how awesome the SEC is....Scotty Thurman. :comeon: Come on son...

Not only him, but Dat Nguyen....Dat Nguyen NEVER even played in the SEC. :why:

And let's be real, NOBODY is watching this channel when football season is over.

as a man who has sat through a many of bama gymnastic meets, i'll be watching :shaq:
