Because they were scheduling for BCS not The Playoff.
The old system gave you no incentive to play tough OOC games.
Personally, I though Baylor should have been in over OSU , but if them being left out will be a wake up call for teams to schedule harder, I'm ok w it

I'm a Mizzou fan. Debating on going to the citrus bowl. Flights from Chicago are really expensive though
