He did well for his rookie season. He made Streater and Homles look like the future for the Raiders. He did well on the big stage last Thanksgiving. his arm >>>>> Pryors. So that might have gassed him up .Yo Raiders brehs, I didnt watch too much of you guys last season but I thought McGloin actually played decent? Not enough to win the starting job?
It seemed like he did enough to be consider trade bait before the preseason , so he def upd his value. The broadcasters never speak ill on the man either now that i think about it. Praising his Heart.
McGloin didnt win as many games as Pryor and sunk every game just as bad...How the hell does well on thanksgiving = winning? Cause last time i checked, we lost that game and his stats are nothing to praise. Dude, is another quarterback who will never amount to a franchise quarterback who isn't good. ?in my op i said mcgloin may have been "gassed up" . also i stated, a couple pages back, that mcgloin is a " solid backup ".

The Raiders have dropped down to 75 players on Tuesday by making eight moves, including the expected shift of cornerback D.J. Hayden to the regular season PUP list. bout time
Hayden will be out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season as a result. The players cut on Tuesday probably won’t be there to welcome him back on the field.
Quarterback Trent Edwards and wide receiver Juron Criner were among the most notable of that group. Edwards, a one-time third-round pick of the Bills, couldn’t make headway on a depth chart that includes Matt Schaub, Derek Carr and Matt McGloin while Criner, a 2012 fifth-round pick, was stuck behind several receivers after ending last season on injured reserve.
Safety Larry Asante, running back Kory Sheets and wide receiver Greg Jenkins were all waived-injured while guard Lucas Nix was given the failed physical designation. The team also placed tight end Nick Kasa on season-ending injured reserve to round out their first roster cutdown of the week.
