I got over it the day after brehs. We're on the right track again. :blessed:

If you would've told me this time last year that we'd be the reigning SEC champs, Iron Bowl winners, 12-2 record, had a top NFL draft pick and set various offensive records, I would've laughed in your face for days. :mjlol:

The team is surpassing my wildest expectations and this upcoming recruiting class is no different.

Kentucky just got a 5 star DL over Bama...

Although, that happens. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, or some other school on the lower tiers of SEC relevance always nabs a 5 star defensive player out from under Bama's grasp. Can't reel in all the big fish.

Meanwhile, please please please let UT hold onto this class.

Also, the dumpster fire that is Vanderbilt post-Franklin is getting pretty bad. They've lost all but like 10 recruits or something and dropped down to the mid-80s in recruiting rankings.

Where did some of their recruits go?

they've dropped again to the 93rd overall class (last in the SEC), and they're now down to just 9 total players in their class

Five of the players went with Franklin to Penn State :lolbron::wow:

lost one of the players to Tennessee :shaq:

lost a 4 star DB to UCF (kid was from Fla)

3 star OL flipped to Stanford

lost a QB to Washington

a RB to Nebraska

they lost a 4 star DT too, but he just decommitted. Tennessee is really trying to pick him up at the last minute here, but I don't know if it will happen.

That's just the way it is.....the kids commit to the coaches more often than the school. If players currently in school could transfer, they probably would leave too.

Yes they would, and I would try to leave too.

The thing about Vanderbilt is that Franklin's predecessor, (OG) Bobby Johnson recruited most of the players that Franklin had success with by committing those players to the UNIVERSITY and changing their lives by attending a prestigious institution like Vandy. Franklin further developed those players, but I've even talked to players who played under both coaches, and they liked Johnson more (still talked to him) because they felt like he cared more about the players and the school.

Franklin used the academics as a tool to get parents on board, but mostly he was trying to recruit hot players by using himself and getting the players to buy into him.

Not that it doesn't happen other places, because it does, it just leads to huge attrition.

I can't wait to see how annoyed the B1G fans on here get when Franklin starts his antics in their conference. He's obnoxious when he wants to be.
