These guys lacked the requisite personalities to go into a kid's living room and convince him AND his parents that the kid should sign. There's a legitimate reason we fell off so hard, so suddenly, after Osborne handed Solich the reins...
At least Pelini can sell the notion of getting kids to the NFL. I mean, Nebraska has always had that capacity, but overall the success and depth of its recruiting base suffered under those former regimes.
