Greatest defense ever. Obviously not talking single season, although the '13 LOB has a case, but in terms of consistency, name me a defense that but together a 6-year run as great as them?

That unit produced eight Pro Bowlers in six years, and four multiple time All-Pros. It's the GOAT defensive run, if I'm forgetting a comparable run let me know. But I also wanna praise the greatness that was peak LOB. What other defense was Top 7 in scoring 6 years in a row, #1 in scoring four straight years?

RIP and remembrance to the greatest defensive roster ever...

Ray Lewis
Ed Reed
Terrell Suggs
Haloti Ngata

Reed and Lewis always elevated the play of the corners and linebackers because of their intellect. And Suggs and Ngata on the d-line was nasty.

No disrespect to the Seahawks though, loved that defence too.

This defense was legitimate...

They didn't lose a single game by 10 or more points in 2012, 2013, or 2014. Tea.s literally had to struggle to beat them, you were getting no points on this squad...

Oftentimes they were covering offensive ineptitude by their O, show me the defense that put up three consecutive years of not losing a game by 10 points...

They also only lost one game by 10+ points in 2015. So 64 games in 4 years, they only lost 18 games (.703 win percentage), and only one of those 18 L's was a 10 point loss....

Only two losses by 10+ points in '16, they were clearly on the decline that year, but out of 80 games, 23 losses (.700 win %), three losses by 10 points...

96 regular season games from 11-16, they allowed 30 points just 11 times. Never allowed 40. On the reverse, they allowed less than 20 points in 56 games (a whopping 58% of their games) and less than 10 in 27 games (28%). For context, that's 3½ seasons in a six year stretch that teams couldn't get to 20 on them, and about 1¾ seasons teams couldn't get to 10...

Show me a defense that was this dominant for this long. You could not score on this unit...

Also show me the defense that developed this many Pro Bowlers and All-Pros in a sustained run...

It's time we give the Seahawks their due. That team was loaded with HOFers. The reality is that you can't beat a team if you can't score more points than the opponent. The 2011-2016 LOB was the best ever at this, and what made them unique is they were built around and from the secondary! They won game after game, year after year, with timely turnovers, crucial crunch time stands, sacks, scores, and gave us dozens of All-Time, legendary moments...

2016 regular season win at Foxboro is one of the best football games I ever saw and one of their hallmark performances...

Other teams can make a case as GOAT 1-year runs, but for the longevity and year over year development of elite defensive talent, this is the greatest defense in NFL history...
