I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
2003 was a real shyt year for me, academically. I had always heard that your Junior year would be your most hardest and difficult year in HS, but I walked through the first semester like a breeze so when 2003 hit, I came in like :jawalrus: and it was like the a choir singing the music of hell reigned down upon me with all of the hardest classes imaginable. I passed all of my classes (and got college credit in Math) but good God. When summer hit, I was ready for that break. There were other things too like my grandfather had a heart attack and I at one point got strep throat and the flu at the same time. The war in Iraq started as well and that was also one of my first instances of actually paying attention to the bullshyt known as politics. There were a lot of other things that made that year less than stellar for me. Granted I've had worse years than 2003, but after such a great year in 2002, it just seemed like 2003 was a big disappointment. Luckily, 2004 (my graduating year) and 2005 made up for it.

Also: The Murder Inc vs. Shady/Aftermath feud made me dislike rap beefs for a long time, because it seemed like it was never ending. It just got terrible and corny as fukk after awhile.:hhh: Some great albums dropped that year though. :ehh:

One good thing to come from 2003 (that may have already been mentioned in OP, but so much stuff on the first page froze my phone up):

Y'all nikkas crazy. Crime was still crazy and gangs were rampant and everywhere
It wasn't everywhere lol it was more crime but you talking like it was the wild west. By the late 1990s it had already fallen significantly.

When America was a cool, creative, energetic, happy, vibrant nation. What went wrong?

My biggest take away from that instagram account is how different everyone is from one another. And how radiant everyone looks. Will this America ever return?
It will take a huge recession/natural disaster and if we’re able to rebuild 20-40+ years afterwards
