2003 smackdown was the perfect mix of wrestling and storyline

This. 04 Raw was very good, though I watched it after the fact since my cable was cut off that entire year HHH’s reign of terror was awful, but there was still a lot of good stuff. Benoit vs HHH/HBK, Christian/Jericho, Batista and Orton developing, Orton vs Shelton/Edge/Foley, Trish and Lita, etc. SD got sucked dry once they moved Benoit over, plus the next draft. SD from 04-07 outside of what I already mentioned was JBL’s rise (which was well done but some of the matches sucked), Eddie spraying poop on Big Show, guttersluts, Cena’s first inkling of Marine Cena before moving him to Raw, them trying to get over a ton of heatless guys (Orlando Jordan, Heidenreich, Mordecai, Kenzo Suzuki, Mark Jindrak), The Cabinet (who hardly ever got a reaction besides JBL, even though they were together for ages), Road Warrior Animal forming LOD 2005, Great Khali, and killing off the Muhammad Hassan character due to their own incompetence. There’s a host of other stuff from SD that was trash during that era, but I’ll just stop there lol.

04 SmackDown was so trash it was actually the last straw for me thinking wrestling was real. I refused to believe real life was that stupid

The moment it all ended was the shot of Kurt Angle after Big Show choke slammed him off the balcony. I was like " No way, that nikka should be dead, this whole thing is bullshyt"

Nahhh mane, the juice was gone from SmackDown in 2004. 2004 Raw was pretty incredible, actually. But '04-06 SmackDown was a complete wasteland.

What was incredible about RAW in 04 outside of Benoit putting on clinics?

No doubt the Reign of Terror was awful, but no one should discount the good to great matches that did happen in the middle of that

Well the show had a mostly coherent feel to it and angles mostly played out in a logical manner as opposed to nothing really meaning much of anything or making any sense these days. They also didn’t have the problem of faces who can’t keep the crowd in their corner back then and gets booed against the top heels.

Yep. 03 was awful outside of Hollywood Rock, Goldberg mauling guys, Victoria, Test abusing women and the White Boy Challenge lmao. HHH was just demolishing everybody and it made for terrible TV, and it was pretty much non stop.
