Was just thinking about the 00s.

Atleast people werent burying their heads in their smartphones...and honestly the early 00s were an interesting period. Just to think...the transition from the 20th to the 21st century and the new Millennium.

In retrospect...the 90s has been looking primitive...20th century. But when you think about when the 20th century started and where it ended all you can do is just be amazed at the progression...

2000s was hella superficial. Lost the grit that made the 90$ real. And then it traded the garish flash for the sleek soulless plastic sheen that is the present.
Dead on.
Every facet of pop culture and youth culture became so corporatized and cashed out for maximum gain. Nothing seemed authentic anymore like it was in the 90s.

It was the beginning of this whole narcissistic me me me culture.

If you ask me personally when 2003 came around...that is when everything that made the 90s dope was disappearing and by 2004 it was over. It was a new era.

The 90s had more freedom to it. Especially being young. We werent on the internet all the time. There was no looming fear of war or terrorism. People were more genuine back then cause you didnt have a smartphone to bury your face into to avoid talking to people. Now? I don't even know where to begin. Truly 9/11 was the turning point.
