20 Years Later, Rush Hour Is Still a Buddy-Cop Gem

Dude is just an average director man. Look at his filmography. Track record is there to say “yeah he puts out good product at times. shyt sometimes it can be great. But not perfect” and all of his movies are so in the moment they don’t all age well either. Some of the racial humor in rush hour and rush hour 2 fukks with me now and most of the jokes are “hey lee is Asian, ain’t that funny?!”

Is Rush Hour 2 a PERFECT film?

I mean i literally can’t find any flaws in it. Its fukking hilarious. ALL the jokes work. The fight choreography is excellent. Plot is silly but fun. Its not overly long. The chemistry between Jackie and Chris is A1.

I'm saying though. I must have watched it 15 times without a problem. Everytime I'm tryna watch something with a homie or a shortie and they say they never watched it I'm like "Let's get in then!! "

Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 have Rush Hour beat. Honestly, the chemistry between Bruce Willis & Samuel L in With a Vengeance is just as good as Chris Rock & Jackie Chan.

The preference boils down to a comedy with some action film, or an action comedy. I'm taking LW series. It's just better

3 and 4 are cool but there’s an edge in 1 and 2 that I love. It sucks to say this but once Riggs becomes healthier the shyt kinda loses it for me
