Saw this lil' bootleg documentary about him not too long ago that looks like it was created at least 10 years ago, and learned about him. I'm only 31, so i'm not all up on who he was back in the late 80s & early 90s here in the city. Any of you older NY or general bball cats know about him? Here are some cliff notes:
- He was practically a Lebron-type in terms of being the total package, and a bullish style of play
- He owned Kenny Anderson on the court...so you already know what level of game we're talking about
- Jim Boeheim went to the Melrose projects in the BX himself to get this dude to commit to Syracuse
- He was on his way until he got into some trouble while hustling a bit & murdered a dude with a broken bottle
- After that & going to jail, plus not completing HS...his b-ball career was derailed & he became a big-time dealer in the Bronx
- Killed at 25 years old by the notorious Sex Money Murda founder, Pistol Pete
- No mention of Pistol Pete in the documentary though...streets still
