GOAT Wrestlemania and I don't give a damn who disagrees with me. This show had everything and the crowd was great all night except during the odd Eddie/Test match.

The only wrestling PPV I got as a kid. My favorite as well. I hated the outcome at the time lol
To this day, the one thing that bothers me about this match is that I think they should have stood Rock up for a stunner instead of pinning him immediately after the chairshots. That would have perfectly capped off the "doing absolutely everything possible to keep him down" vibe.

Nah that's what made it so good. Austin hit him in the face with a chair, stunnered him and dude was still kicking out. It's like he realized nothing is going to keep him down, so he HAD to keep hammering him with the chair just to get the three. Even the shots reek of desperation, he's not aiming for any spot he worked on in the match. He's just swinging wildly. If Rock kicked out of those, he would've just kept hitting him again until his arms gave out.

Yeah, they should have had him run to the ring, then get to the business. Not loom around the ring forever and tease and tease. Definitely kills the momentum of the heel turn and doesn't add suspense in a good way.
