The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com) this week had an update on WWE not mentioning Brock Lesnar at all this Monday on Raw. As previously reported, Brock Lesnar made an appearance at UFC 226 last Saturday, challenging new UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. Additionally, Lesnar has re-entered the USADA drug-testing pool in order to become eligible to fight again in the UFC due to his previous failed drug tests in 2016.

According to the Observer report, Vince McMahon personally made the decision not to mention Lesnar on Raw last Monday in order to focus on the build for Extreme Rules this weekend. Also, the report states that McMahon informed those backstage at a production meeting ahead of Raw that Lesnar’s name would not be mentioned during the show, and WWE could start talking about Lesnar again, “When he’s being offered to our audience and we can capitalize on it.”

Additionally, McMahon is said to be “adamant” about creating the idea that Lesnar is turning his back on WWE fans and leaving the organization for the UFC. WWE wants to push the idea that Lesnar is trying to leave without losing the WWE Universal title .

this would be a good idea if they stopped here, instead of roman they could have someone we actually like be that guy

LMAO. As soon as the fans see some absolute meathead holding that corny briefcase, doing fake strikes, everyone in that cage gonna be booed out the building. They would actually throw shyt at them. That would be a wet dream for Vince, but Dana would NEVER EEEEEEEEEVER allow that kinda fukkery to mix in with MMA.

that would work if they let them have a shoot fight for like 30 seconds.. cant do nothing about that trash ass briefcase tho.. like seriously do they really think that many 5 years olds watch the product? wrestling is for that 11-31 age range they cant possibly think that briefcase is cool

WWE should release a statement that they will no longer acknowledge the Universal Championship going forward, effectively retiring it.

I'd do it after failing to show up at Summer Slam. The title has been a disaster.

Then Heyman can show up threatening lawsuits, before finally settling on a WWEWHC match.

I'd put the WWEWHC on Seth for that match, he's been the best fighting Champion in a awhile.

Brock would be way more interesting as a challenger, especially with the threat of similar title reign.

Brock is already more interesting in UFC simply being the challenger.

Seth Rollins (C) vs Brock Lesnar - WWEWHC Wrestlemania 35

Edit - move that Rollins Lesnar match up to the Rumble. Arizona. Chase Field. 50k.

Nah..that don't make any logical sense. They created the universal title..they can strip it anytime they want. All in all..a champion who doesn't defend the belt once in 30 days is throwing the entire landscape into chaos.

You lost me when you called Brock "interesting". Just strip the title from him and keep him away from any future title matches.

I meant Brock challenging for a title is more interesting than him defending one. I wasn't calling Brock himself interesting, but yo comprendo. In my head this would be his last time around a title but since I want the Universal title retired this is how it has to happen. Seth beating him for the Universal title doesn't retire the Universal title.

It isn't enough to strip him of the title, I want it retired. I don't want him stripped and another tournament for it. The title needs to go all together. The idea that both brands should mirror eachother is what's throwing everything into chaos.

Suplex, suplex, suplex, suplex, suplex, Roman reverses, superman punch, superman punch, spear, Brock reverses, suplex, suplex, suplex, F5, 3-count.
They’ve spent the last 4 years wasting any and all momentum that Brock had to try forcing this Roman push :hhh:. Remember how much heat he had after squashing Cena for the title? Think about how badly they’ve wasted that heat in the years since.
