Yea but the population for the metro area is bigger than that. Theres more people in Baltimore County than Baltimore City
It's Baltimore metro which includes Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Carroll, Queen Anne, and Harford counties. The Baltimore metro population is said to be 2.710 million as of 2010. Out of those 2.7 million, nearly 800,000 are Black.

In the Silver Lining
These are the new estimates for CSA as of 7/1/2014. Won't get this it for this year until next July.

1. New York CSA: 4,310,356
2. Washington D.C.-Baltimore CSA: 2,465,004
3. Atlanta CSA: 2,007,107
4. Chicago CSA 1,702,629
5. Philadelphia CSA 1,473,815
6. Miami-Fort Lauderdale CSA 1,389,445
7. Los Angeles CSA 1,377,341
8. Houston CSA 1,186,148
9. Dallas-Fort Worth CSA 1,118,685
10. Detroit 1,109,168

MSA's can be done just didn't do them that way. But if it was just MSA, DC by itself would drop behind Atlanta and LA would fall behind Houston and DFW but ahead of Detroit. But it will still be the same top 10 cities.

This man knows his stuff. Lived in DC and Baltimore. Their populations interact and are way to close to be separated. CSAs are more proper way of looking at populations cause people commute long distances, shop, etc in these larger expanses.

Same thing with L.A., the first didn't include the Inland Empire or other parts of that CSA. Would like to see the other 10 though.

They probably including Bmore County/suburbs towson etc

The DMV plus Richmond/757 and Bmore = about 3 million black people. Sounds about right

I always assumed it was

1. NYC

2. Atlanta, GA area

3. DMV Area

3. Chicago
Richmond is over an hour away from dvm, I would know cause I visit Richmond often. When people say dmv, the v means Arlington Virgina which is across the bridge from downtown DC.

Yeah it works for DC and Baltimore, the Bay Area, and LA. But it doesn't work for Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and Chicago.
