2 Years Later...The Last Days of SOHH and The GENESIS of THE COLI

So true, I remember being at work trying to keep my laughter down at my desk reading some of the threads in TLR and OT, anytime I clicked on JBO it was a wrap. You know a thread was good when it was doing 10-15+ pages. It's becoming the same way with The Coli here, got a good group of posters from sohh/pc that can still keep the hilarity and fukkery going on along with debates, news, and tech, definitely gotta give props to staff members for making a stable site and keeping things familiar (sections), along with a fresh look.

I remember cats were telling us to go to the coli instead. I thought it was just some copy cat site from some other haters but then I noticed I seen a bunch of OG posters leaving in mass to the coli. The biggest internet exodus. Where they do that at?

Probably the BIGGEST online movement I've ever witnessed or been apart of. Even the old Nas BBS never had so many posters just make that move to a new forum, most of us ended up at Allhiphop's ill community at first but I mean damn near EVERYONE from Sohh said "fukk it" all in the same breath and gave the Coli life

who was the dude still over their upping his threads for weeks after.. there was a thread here clowning it, cause i remember the entire first 2pgs were all his threads..

we got over 14,000 members on here...you know this guy is hiding here somewhere

No, there was ONE dumbass that was trying to start a war and decided to 'call out' Quatro-chan.

We in the Jerusalem Bird Observatory told him 'Sit yo' dumbass down', but the idiot went over there several times trolling/flaming.

At first, they didn't take him seriously, until he got a couple more dumbasses to go in with him.

They got annoyed and fukked up SOHH, AHH, and a couple other sites just because of his stupid ass.

SOHH was dope. The Coli is basically a copy of it. Basic logic.

They best time was before Project Covo - I thought that shyt said "CoNvo" for SOHH long - when the web was the wild west. JBO was like nothing you've ever seen. Now it's basically these long ass threads of all Asians or all White girls. Back then it was a legit porn destination for thousands and thousands of lurkers who were like "Hippity Hop what now?" guess that was before Porn Tube sites.

One of the aspects that I remember was these gore vids would get posted. I would never click the link, just read pages and pages of people describing what they saw. I realized then that the web was a scary scary place.

The deep web shyt was sort of later on in SOHH's golden years, but I remember rading that thread like a horror movie. Dudes were saying that shadowy figures were after them after they went down there.

We play the Photoshop game with JZ and Ye an nem, but niqqas used to get got on SOHH. Just regular cats who had the nerve to post "Club pix and [be] in em". Or their homemade album covers. We had a field day.

I will admit that near the end it was sort of a chore to keep SOHH going but for some reason I wouldn't quit.

the Coli has been a blessed rebirth. I'm legit grateful for Her.

The admins for SOHH was the main reason that place crumbled. The never listened to what members wanted, treated us like it was a privilege to be on there, policed the forums like it was north korea. Only reason I stayed so long was there wasn't a better option.

For me it was either sohh or all hip hop, sohh/pc had just enough to pull you in an see what this place was about. Once I started posting and reading threads, it was a wrap.

I remember being among those who told dude to chill when he made the thread. How he got anyone to cosign him is beyond me.

For those who weren't there, this was around the time on SOHH when the trolls in the Jerusalem Bird Observatory were doing so-called "invasions" on other forums. They crashed some B grade site by spamming it to death, which prompted a certain dummy to get bold and call out they who shall remain nameless.
