i'm understanding now that the false imprisonment angle will make very difficult for them to say they feared for their lives. Can't claim self defense while committing a crime with a weapon.

That would be like a bank robber saying he killed a teller in self defense. I feel like these guys are very likely to be convicted.

its odd that there's no such thing as over charging or overreaching when a black person is up for jail time.
all of a sudden "its going to be hard to prove murder, they over reached" for a white person.
these prosecutors only do the bare minimum OBVIOUS charges for white people and all they have to worry about is beating a charge or two that they can easily plea out of or be found not guilty.
the prosecutors literally search for every single thing in the law book they can hit a black person with and you end up with 6 different felony charges and 5 misdemeanor charges on top of a simple drug possession charge or some oddball shyt like that.
