Depending on the makeup of the jury, that video may make things worse. I just wouldn't be so confident about them being found guilty.

It’s more than just the video that makes them guilty. Even they admitted to chasing him down before the actual confrontation. There’s no telling what they were saying to him the entire time they were chasing him. They initiated the confrontation in every single way, therefore they have no leg to stand on.

If you really want to get technical about it, the son wasn’t in imminent danger at the moment he pulled the trigger, so why would stand your ground apply to him?

And the fact that the father was never even qualified to become law enforcement is going to come up in court as well. A lot of people are going to have to answer how he was able to skirt by with it for so long before he was finally removed last year.

They are without a doubt going to use this video to paint the picture that he’s aggressive and defensive.

Even though he’s never been proven to do anything wrong, you know that doesn’t matter in the court of public opinion.

i don't think so. if you actually watched the video in context he is sitting in a field ALONE. they accuse of him of potentially selling drugs IT'S EARLY IN THE AM... NO ONE AROUND BUT HIM. He was angered by being singled out and clearly this is something he had dealt with often. he vocalized himself well in the video. his purpose there and the fact that he works for a living. the video also shows the cops overreacting and admitting to it verbally after they have a discussion about trying to tase him after he had already been searched.
