I think most places if you physically harm someone during a citizens arrest you could/would be prosecuted or sued into oblivion.
Does GA have stand your ground laws? Because honestly watching the video I can see them getting away with this because they will claim Ahmaud charged the one with the shotgun and they will say they were scared of what would happen if he got the gun off him.
There is a couple of blind spots in the video that might not show the full picture of what happened and you only have their word for it.
I'm not a lawyer, but I would think that the citizen's arrest thing shouldn't apply to them since they didn't witness a celony in progress. At most, they saw a guy who matched a description of someone who had robbed something in the past. If anything Ahmaud was standing his ground against an armed posse that threatened him.

This whole situation is insane all around. Not only was he hunted, not only was he murdered,
not only was it recorded, not only did the murderers try to sweep it under the rug, but its also being attempted to be swept under the rug by state officials for whatever reason.
