Who were the standouts?

Just about every except for KCP and McGee (got benched) defense was amazing the offense up until the 4th was atrocious but they pulled it together before I was rocked

AD at the 4 is trash cause the center just clogs the paint and makes it harder for Lebron to penetrate. When AD plays the 5, the center is focused on him and another shooter is on the floor for optimal spacing.

The nikka hates playing the 5 though so it's probably only gonna be used when the offense is struggling.

That's fine for offense but on defense they really are better off with Dwight at the 5. LeBron can't be putting energy out like that on the defensive end during the regular season so if AD is at the 5 then he's the only rim protector. That's works for stretches but not the bulk of the game.

Spacing is great with AD at the five but I think they'll save that lineup for crunch time. Some shyt like LeBron handling the ball with AD inside and Bradley-Green-Daniels outside would terrorize teams. But at the beginning of the game, let Rondo or Caruso or Cook handle the ball more often while AD and a center patrol the paint, that way you keep LeBron and AD optimally fresh instead of having to do everything on both ends. LeBron has played with a ton of non-shooting centers before, it'll be fine so long as AD gets his jumper back and forces his defender to respect it.

Lebron had a lot of success with Tristian Thompson at the Five in Cleveland because they basically ran two man pick and roll initiated by Lebron with everyone else outside the paint freeing up space. They could either do that or run Kuzma at the 5 occasionally when he gets back if AD doesn't want to do it.

Utah will be better team than they were last night. Not the prettiest, but good win. AD had a very nice 2nd half defensively after the adjustment, he was everywhere. We will prob see him more at the 5 during other games too
