And what lesson did they really learn here. Rappers justify peddling poison to our youth by claiming their just recounting tales of what they experience and how they're products of their environment, and they are rewarded handsomely for it. These kids who are also products of their environment are making ends meet by selling candy on the street, candy no one wants to buy and we're shytting on them for trying to capitalize when they see a potential client who's entire life's work is rapping about just how much he has to people that have nothing.

The more and more I assess the situation, the more disgusting it becomes to me.

:wow:

Nobody owes you anything in this life.
The mindset you have is the reason why these kids are car jacking and robbing because they think they are owed

Honestly this is the problem these new kids are taught how to finesse and scam before they are taught good business practice and integrity. Had they kept it 100 at worst Dababy buys them out a market value and saves them the time involved of scraping by for the day.

Edit: And what makes it worse DaBaby gave the kids 2 chances to make it right.

This. People don't realize that most people and businesses that are successful out there is because of trust and consistency.

Exactly

And nikkas want to come in here and pat them on the head only to encourage the bullshyt.

Nah, they needed this life lesson. If you gonna have a business, don’t cut corners and scam your own people by being unethical, untruthful, and lazy.

shyt like this pisses me off because I’ve seen grown black people not learn this lesson early in life. You can tell these cats didn’t do this regularly and didn’t have a plan. They probably stumbled up on some free boxes or stole the shyt just looking to make quick cash. You can’t be flipping shyt and not know basic math

When I come across a straggler begging for money outside the liquor store....and he's upfront, like "Bruh, you got some change so I can get me a 40?"

I'm always inclined to give it to him. Heck, sometimes I'll buy the breh 2 bottles. :manny:

Broke brehs mad in here. I understand. There's a natural resentment that comes about in ppl who don't have money that they feel towards ppl who do. I've been there myself so I get where it's coming from.

With that being said, once I started making money, nothing burned me up more than somebody trying to count my money and telling me what I should buy for or from them.

It's MY money, I did the work to get it and ill spend it where and on whatever I deem necessary.

And no one is gonna guilt trip me for that. If this brotha didn't want to pay 200 for a box of candy, it's his money to not spend.

If he didn't want to give them a dime, its his money to not spend.

They learned a valuable lesson, not to look at folks like walking licks.

One of my partners did that before. We had a potential deal with a celebrity client and this fool marked up the price 500% above what we would normally charge and we lost out on the deal.

Greed is the downfall and setback of many a man. If it cost a dollar, then keep your price at a dollar.

You can't change the prices whenever you feel like it cause you think this person or that person may have more money.

The problem i see with our culture and some of you nikkas is yall always championing the most backwards shyt.

fukk these kids for this dumbass scamming shyt. Back in the day, hustlers weren’t stupid and could at least do basic math.

First of all, I don’t even know how old are these “kids”. Secondly, as a nikka that used to do shyt like this, they obviously did not know how to play the room. Dude really believed half a box of skittles was gonna sucker that man out of $200 that he was never going to get anyway if he had walked up and down the street all day?

nikka could’ve at least said $75 and made a couple bucks more and continued his flip.

Or if he just would’ve been honest (because they obviously can’t read the room) DaBaby probably would’ve just did “rich nikka” shyt for the camera/charity and tossed them a hundred each.

You can hustle and earn without being a lying ass scammer, brehs

Yep. Look no further than this ShaCarri foolishness.

He taught them a valuable lesson and was actually a great role model whether he was intending to or not.

Too many Black folks glorify cheating, scamming, and general dusty behavior especially when it comes to other Black people. This mindset starts young, when the youth are rewarded for low-life behavior and/or see it rewarded in others. It's important that these too were punished for there underhanded behavior as this will (hopefully) steer them towards being respectable adults.

Lets be real. If Baby fell for that finesse them lil brehs would've been on social media clout chasing talking about how Da Baby is a sucker.

Perhaps next time they'll act righteously.

The Black people doing those things, glorifying cheating, scamming with the biggest platforms are people like Da Baby, and all of these other rappers who incessantly brag about:

  • murdering Black people,
  • selling drugs to Black people,
  • lying to Black people,
  • robbing Black people,
  • flaunting large bundles of cash to Black people
  • Raping Black people
